Naomi Watts

Watts (born 28 September 1968) is the British actress from Britain. Following
the move of her family to Australia in the early 1980s, Watts made her film
film debut there in For Love Alone (1986). Later, she was a part of three
television shows, Hey Dad.. (1990), Brides of Christ(91) and Home and Away
(91), and Flirting (1991). Watts was an unpromising actress when she first came
to the United States. She acted in small-scale movies and eventually was a
professional actress. This film helped propel her to international fame. Watts
was later chosen to play a journalist who was tortured in The Ring (2002). Her
portrayal of a mother with grief in Alejandro's 21 Grams (2003) was nominated
for an Academy Award. She continued to rise in fame with her parts in I Heart
Huckabees (2004) and King Kong (2005) as along with Eastern Promises (2007) and
The International (2009). Watts was nominated for an Academy Award for Best
Actress for her role in The Impossible (2012) as Maria Bennett. She was in
films like Birdman (2014) St. Vincent (2014) and While We're Young (2015).
Watts was also a mainstay in blockbuster films, starring in Divergent
(2015)-2016.
