Milena Govich
Milena Govich is an actor, director
musician, actor, and actor who has directed a number of episodes of TV which
include The Equalizer (2021), Chicago Med (2015), FBI: Most Wanted (2020),
Chicago Fire (2012), among others. Milena served as the Co-EP/Producing
Director for Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018) and is currently attached to two
pilots. Milena was chosen as one of the eight directors in AFI's prestigious
Directing Workshop for Women. Her short film and TV show proof-of-concept
titled Unspeakable featuring Laura Vandervoort and Jeff Kober The film had its
World Premiere at SXSW and was awarded Best Episodic at the Seattle
International Film Festival and Best Pilot at the SoHo International Film
Festival. Her short film Temporary (2017) has been shown all over the country,
winning Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy at
Atlanta ShortsFest as well as the Director's Choice Award at Sedona
International Film Festival. Milena has appeared in over 100 television series.
She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the
prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis
Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was her first appearance on CBS. She was then the
only female detective in Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The
Defenders (2010)(CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) [ABC Family] and Lori Stevens
(MTV Drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena has also been featured in various
films, including Sordid Things (2009); A Novel Romance (2011), starring
opposite Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) and #Lucky Number (2015) which
starred alongside Method Man; and the film series Closure (2018), Be the Light
(2020), and The Cleaner (2021). Milena was born in Norman, Oklahoma was the valedictorian
of her high-school before she completed a double major vocal performance and a
premedical degree at the University of Central Oklahoma. She also graduated
valedictorian. Soon after she took advantage of her ballet education to make an
appearance on Broadway in the production of Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall of
"Cabaret" in Studio 54.
