Markie Post
Markie Post grew-up in Walnut Creek. She
began her career as a film and TV producer, with projects like "The New
Card Sharks", (1978) as well as "Card Sharks," (1986). Post went
on to produce projects like Double Dare (1976), and has been featured on many
TV shows like E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman and Dyna Girl
(2001). Perhaps her most famous TV part was "Christine Sullivan" on
Night Court (1984). She was featured in the show's 156 episodes from 1984 to
1992. Marylee (Armstrong) Post was her mother. She was famous for her poetry
and as a nuclear scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918-April 7,
2015). Two daughters were born to her husband, Michael A. Ross: Katie Ross
(born June 26, 1987) and Daisy Ross (born March 30 90, 1990). Her birthplace
was Palo alto, California and grew up close to Walnut Creek, California. As a
cheerleader, she attended Las Lomas High School located in Walnut Creek. The
Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon.
She performed trick roping in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). The
funeral was held and her ashes were returned to Michael A. Ross. She was a
lifelong Democrat. Markie Post died three months after her 71st Birthday on
August 7 2021. She passed away 27 days following Charles Robinson, her Night
Court (1984), co-star, died on the 11th of July 2021. While the two shows were
not connected, Night Court (1984) was a finale that saw Christine Sullivan's
character relocating to Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992), began with Post as
Georgie Lahti. Post was a new character in Hearts Afire (1992), after which she
relocated to a small community after her time in Washington DC.
