Tracy Spiridakos
Tracy Spiridakos, a Canadian actor from Canada. She played Becky Richards on the Teletoon children's series Majority Rules! From 2009 until 2010. Between 2009 and 2010, she played in the role of Charlotte Matheson (Charlie) in the NBC series Revolution, a post-apocalyptic science-fiction series. She was nominated to win a Saturn Award as Best Actress on TV. She played Annika Johnson in the A&E television show Bates Motel. Spiridakos is a regular on the NBC drama Chicago P.D. since 2017. as Detective Hailey Upton. Spiridakos was raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba by George Spiridakos and Anastasia Spiridakos, Greek-born restaurant owners. She has two brothers. Following her birth, her family moved to Skala, Greece, south of Sparta. They returned to Canada in 1992. She has a strong connection to her Greek roots and speaks fluent Greek. Spiridakos began acting in junior high school. She later studied at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. In 2000, she was a graduate of Oak Park High School in Winnipeg. Spiridakos left Winnipeg to pursue acting in 2007. She was able to land her first TV appearance on Supernatural within weeks. Spiridakos continued to work on television, with walk-on roles in Bionic Woman, The L Word, Hellcats, and Psych. Spiridakos was a part of the TV film Goblin and in the web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. She also appeared on Being Human, as Brynn McLean who played the werewolf. In 2009, the actress won her first starring part in Majority Rules! Canada, where she played 15 year old Becky Richards. In 2011, she made her debut as a feature film in the film Rise of the Planet of the Apes. She also directed Kill for Me, a low-budget horror film by Michael Greenspan. The film featured Donal Logue, Katie Cassidy, and directed by Michael Greenspan. Spiridakos was Sammi's character in Rags (2012), the Nickelodeon original movie. The actress was then offered the lead part in the NBC TV series Revolution as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson, a survivalist in a futuristic dystopian world. She auditioned for the part while attending her first pilot season in Los Angeles. Spiridakos produced the pilot in Atlanta and then filmed the pilot season in Wilmington, North Carolina. The actress was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Actress on television for her performance during the pilot but was beaten out by Anna Torv of Fringe's Anna. The second season was filming in Austin, Texas.
