Bonnie Wright

Bonnie Francesca Wright (born 17 February 1991) is an English model, actress as well as a director and activist. Wright is most famous for her performance in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. She was in the role for 10 years, before moving to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011). After the Harry Potter series, Wright appeared in a string of independent films, which included Before I Sleep (2013), The Sea (2013) and After the Dark (2014) and After the Dark (2014). The films were met with mixed reviews. She was the stage's first lead character in Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth at the Southwark Playhouse in 2013.Wright graduated from University of the Arts London in 2012 with a bachelor's diploma in filmmaking. Her company was later established as her own production firm, BonBonLumiere, and began making short films. Her first project she directed was the coming of age drama Separate We Come. Separate We We Go (2012). This film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival to high critique. She also directed Know Thyself (2016), with Christian Coulson, as well as Sextant (2016). Both included emotion and landscape. Wright's three-part series, Phone Calls, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2017. Medusa’s Ankles (2018) The film stars Kerry Fox, Jason Isaacs and is based on A. S. Byatt’s The Matisse Stories. She has directed music videos for singers Sophie Lowe, Pete Yorn, and Scarlett Johansson. Wright is an ambassador for Greenpeace and Lumos, and has been acknowledged for her environmental activism.
