Deborah Rhea
Seehorn (born May 12 1972) is an American actress from the United States. She
is best known for her role as attorney Kim Wexler on AMC's Better Call Saul
(2015-2018), for which she was awarded the Satellite Award for Best Supporting
Actress in a Show, Miniseries, or Television Film. She also appeared on the NBC
series Whitney (2011-2013) as well as ABC's I'm with Her (2003-2004) and TNT's
Franklin & Bash (2011-2014). Deborah Rhea Seehorn was conceived in
Norfolk, Virginia on May 12 on the 12th of May, 1972. Her mother was an
executive assistant for the United States Navy, while her father was an agent
with the Naval Investigative Service; her family moved frequently during her
childhood, residing in Washington, D.C. and Arizona and also in Japan. She
followed in the footsteps her grandmother and father by learning about
architecture, painting and drawing from an early age. Although she was
interested in the visual arts throughout her life, it was during this time that
she discovered an interest in acting. While in college she was introduced
modern theater. In 1994 she graduated from George Mason University with a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art. Seehorn began her career in college as
an actor and was supported by her acting instructor. In order to be noticed she
did other roles in D.C.'s theater industry. When she did manage to secure major
roles in local theatre productions, and was forced be able to find odd jobs to
make ends meet however, she continued working in the field of film as an
instructional filmmaker. Then, she began to land roles on television
productions. Her roles were often that were "very wry and sarcastic"
like her role model Bea Arthur. These roles are usually ended after a couple of
seasons. Seehorn was selected to play Kim Wexler on the Breaking Bad prequel
series Better Call Saul in May 2014. Seehorn plays Kim Wexler (a lawyer) and is
the love-interest for the Jimmy McGill character.
